5.0 out of 5 stars Assassin’s Call 3 Feb 2012By Katy WaltersFormat:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified PurchaseThe first line is electric and grabs the reader by the throat. With clever use of flashback the writer swiftly introduces the immortal line of Lupine along with the horror figure of a stepfather and Rye’s deliverer Serek. The loathsome Theodore Smith suffers the fate he deserves. Rafe the Cajun is skillfully portrayed a male to die for and so original in his feeding habits. I will not spoil the story by giving too much away. However the prose is gritty, succinct and sexy. This writer really has a talent for scintillating exposition and cryptic dialogue. Not a word is wasted which is the work of a skilled writer. This will capture the imagination – a real page turner.
